Witam
Mam takie male pytanko... :) Skad mozna pobrac paczke xorg-x11-7.1  oczywiscie rpm dla SUSE / :)  chodzi mi wlasnie o ta wersje bo drivery Ati wymagaja wlasnie tej ;) a otwarte sterwoniki zle mi obsluguja grafike w cededze :D tzn gubia tekstury ;p  w sumie moze to byc tez  7.0 :) czy ktos wie gdzie dostane taka paczke ? :)

Żartujesz chyba, jestem pewien że najnowsze stery ati obsługują nowsze wersje xorga. Ściągnij najnowszą wersję sterowników i po kłopocie.

http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html ale lepiej najpierw spróbuj zainstalować najnowszy sterownik z paczki z repozytoriów twojej dystrybucji.

Sam używam xserver-xorg-video-ati 6.8.0 (Radeon 9600) i grałem na tym w Nexuiz'a. Wszystko chodzi lepiej niż na zamkniętym sterowniku fglrx.

ehhh.. mam radeona 9200 se i dla niego najnowsze wydane stery pochodza z 2006 roku... 8.28 , dlatego musze uzyc  maksymalnie xorga 7.1 ... inne wersje sterownikow nie obluguja moje chipu...  musialbym sciagac cala plytka  suse 10.1 zeby wgrac sobie ten pakiet .. dlatego zapytalem was czy  nie istnieje gdzies taki w sieci :) poprostu u mnie zawsze lepiej wszystko dzialalo na zamknietych ... copmiz owszem dziala pieknie na otwartych gry dedykowane dla linuxa tez ...ale zeby pograc np w san andreas  mialem  zamkniete  .Teraz zmienilem system na SUSE 10.3 i ta paczka okazuje sie niezbedna ... znalazlem tylko 6.9  ale jest za stara .. troche niestabilna :)

prosilbym jednak o podoanie linka do paczki jesli ktos zna ;) naprawde jej potrzebuje , a wszytkie serwery lustrzane jakie znalazlem  z suse 10  maja juz pokasowane repo  z  tym xorgiem (7.1)

Z tego co wiem ta karta działa bez problemu z akceleracją od dawna na otwartym sterowniku xserver-xorg-video-ati (Driver "ati" albo Driver "radeon" w pliku xorg.conf).

ok pojdziemy wasze droga ale pomozecie mi ? ;D zainstalowalem najnowszego Xorga  pod Fedora 8 i nie wiem jak wlaczyc Direct rendering :D bo wyswietla mi sie w testach cedegi ze brak i to samo z akceleracja 3D ;) moj xorg.conf wyglada tak

zainstalowalem Fedore 8 i w domyslnej instalacji dziala wszystko bardzo pieknie na otwartych sterwonikach :) nawet compiz :) ale  w cedega to samo .. wyswietla brak akceleracji 3d .. jak wlaczyc  akceleracje 3D dla innych programow postronnych ... innych niz compiz ? co zmienic w  "xorgu" ? co dodac co ujac .. ;) i czym jesli wlacze composite  w "xorgu" to bardzo bedzie zwalnialo system  od strony wizualnej?

Dla Radeona 9200 spokojnie starczą Ci otwarte stery. Wrzuć zawartość /var/log/Xorg.0.log, z którego zawsze można się czegoś ciekawego dowiedzieć, np. dlaczego nie zadziałała sprzętowa akceleracja 3D.

W nowszych wersjach Xorg moduły dri i glx powinny ładować się automatycznie bez konieczności robienia wpisów, ale lepiej przyjrzeć się jak to działa.

Poczytaj też man radeon, by zobaczyć, co dopracować w sekcji Device.

glxinfo | grep -i rendering pokaże Ci czy sprzętowa akceleracja 3D działa.

Nie wiem jak w Cededze, ale w winecfg dla porównania jest coś do skonfigurowania z obsługą 3D, ale o tym już nie ze mną :)

Cedega juz prawidlowo pokazuje ze  jest DR (direct rendering) ale  akceleracji 3D nadal nie ma .... przeinstalowalem caly system na swiezo  zeby juz nie robic zbednego zamieszania :)  Mam nadzieje ze   bedzie to w jakis sposob pomocne dla rozwiazania mojego problemu :) Pozdrawiam :)

PS: Podpowiecie mi jak wlaczyc AILGLX  edytujac xorg ?? :) czy wystarczy dodanie osobnej sekcji  z  AILGLX "ON" ?

Male sprostowanie -  powyzsze problemy udoalo mi sie samodzielnie rozwiazac ;) okazalo sie ze cedega nie widzi akceleracji 3D ale mimo to akceleracja 3D dziala bardzo plynnie w grach :)  AILGLX tez udalo mi sie wlaczyc przez edycje xorga i pozniej wybralem tylko przy compiz zeby korzystal z tego wlasnie modulu :)) teraz powstal nowy problem ..zupelnie tego nie rozumiem . mam Fedore 8    w  System >  Administracja > Ekran  wybralem LCD 1024x768  taki walsnie posiadam ... a przy ustawianiu rozdzielczosci mam do wyboru  800x600 i 1280x768 .. postawnowilem wiec ustawic to w xorgu  zmieniaja sekcje Modules  ... na Modules "1024x768" laduje s strasznie wyskoa rozdzielczosc .. chyba ta 1280x768 .. natomiast jesli wpisze w Modules "800x600"  laduje sie prawidlowa rozdzielczosc ... wiecie czym jest to spowodowane ?   wyciag  z loga xorga w poprzednich postach :) szukalem na tym forum ale nikt nie mial takiego problemu ...

Docelowa rozdzielczoscia jest "1024x768"

Nie doszukałem się w tym logu żadnej z Twoich definicji Modeline, którą potem mógłbyś użyć jako jeden z trybów (Modes). Komunikat cytowany przeze mnie mówi tyle, że wśród odnalezionych przez sterownik radeon trybów nie było 1024x768 z dobrym odświeżaniem dla Twojego monitora.

O ile wiem, karta powinna odczytać możliwe rozdzielczości i odświeżania z danych EDID (http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/EDID) monitorka, ale skoro tak nie robi lub robi to w niekompletny sposób, może zdefiniowałbyś własny tryb?

Nie rozumiem na razie, dlaczego tryby VESA nie są wykrywane przez serwer Xorg.

Diekuje wa m wszystkim bardzo  za pomoc :) okazaliscie sie niezbedni :)  ostatniego problemu nie udalo mi sie przyzwoicie rozwiazac...poczytalem troche i stwierdzilem ze fedora jest gorzej zaplatana niz suse :D zmienilem  dystrybucje na debiana :) tu jest o niebo prosciej :) wszystko dziala jak nalezy :) jednak DEBIAN jest krolem :D jeszcze raz wielkie dzieki wszytkim :)  ( Duzo sie nauczylem przez te problemy;) )Pozdrawiam
