Witam
Pracuje na wysłużonym już komputerze, więc chciałem zrobić sobie paczkę (deb\\'a) z X\\'em skompilowaną pod moją maszynę.
Tu napotkałem problem. Po zapoznaniu się z plikami definicji i konfiguracyjnymi (pliki *.cf i *.def) nie zauważyłem nawet wzmianki na temat optymalizacji pod wyższy procesor niż 486.
Czy jest możliwa kompilacja Xfree na pentium3? Jeżli tak to co przegapiłem?
Dodam że postępuje według instrukcji zawartej na www.xfree86.org. czyli:

modyfikacja ./xc/config/cf/host.def
make World

Problem się dodatkowow skomplikował.
Pozdczas kompilacji bez zadnych wymyślnych ustawień w host.def dostaje po ok 30 minutowej kompilacji błędy:

Chcę zainstaować z sieci. od czego zacząć

1 pobrałem mały obraz iso
2 uruchomiłem komp z wypalonej płytki

No i nic mi nie wyszło  Wybieram instalacja z ftp potem łącze ADSL. Potem
wpisuję User name i password. Pozostaje jeszcze pole AC name i co tu
wpisać? Pozostawiłem to pole wolne Klikam OK i nie chce się łączyć z
neostradą. Co robię nie tak? Jak uzyskać połączenie z internetem?

Włączyłem loga i zobaczyłem takie coś:

 Nie rozwiaże twojego problemu z połaczeniem sieci ale też pobrałem iso cdrom z jednego z serwerów z katalogu official/2006, wypaliłem, odpaliłem, udało sie połączyć i...
po kilkunastu godzinach miałem zainstalowany mandriva 2005.
A chciałem 2006. Chyba trzeba jeszcze poczekać na official.
