Prosze o pomoc w instalacji karty wifi. Linuksa mam od wczoraj i nie mam pojęcia jak się za to zabrać. Szukając w internecie sposobu na konfiguracje karty wifi naktnąłem się na takie polecenia jak ifconfig i iwconfig. Być może w konfiguracji pomogą wyniki:

Drugą sprawą jest ikonka sieci na panelu - sygnalizuje że nie jestem w ogóle połączony z internetem, a w rzeczywistości jestem połączony przez ethernet. Mam też wątpliwości co do tego połączenia, udaje się połączyć jedynie wtedy kiedy kabel ethernetowy jest podpiety podczas uruchamiania systemu. Jeśli zostanie podpiety kiedy system jest juz uruchomiony nie mogę uzyskać połączenia.

Wykonaj polecenia
lspci -vv > lspci.txt
dmesg > dmesg.txt
I wklej zawartość obu plików tutaj (w tagu CODE), albo na jakąś wrzutę czy inny serwis trzymający wklejoną treść.

Zapewne nie masz zainstalowanego firmwaru dla karty wifi.
Ale to trzeba najpierw określić jej producenta i model (powyższe polecenie lspci, dmesg też może pokazać błąd ładowania firmware).

Co do ikonki, odpal synaptica i zainstaluj network-manager albo wicd. I zrestartuj komputer.

Jeśli masz Debiana Wheezy (testing), to edytuj plik /etc/apt/sources.list i zmień linię z:
deb http://ftp.pl.debian.org/debian/ wheezy main
deb-src http://ftp.pl.debian.org/debian/ wheezy main
na
deb http://ftp.pl.debian.org/debian/ wheezy main contrib non-free
deb-src http://ftp.pl.debian.org/debian/ wheezy main contrib non-free
Potem:
# apt-get update
# apt-get install firmware-realtek
I reboot.



Jeśli masz Debiana Squeeze (stable), to najprościej będzie ręcznie ściągnąć ten pakiet:
http://packages.debian.org/squeeze-backports/all/firmware-realtek/download
i zainstalować
# dpkg -i firmware-realtek_0.32~bpo60+1_all.deb
I reboot.
