Witam. Mam problem ze swoim Xubuntu. Mam kartę dźwiękową Avance ALS120. Niestety już od instalacji nie mam dźwięku.
Z góry dziękuję za pomoc.
Pozdrawiam

Avance Logic ALS100/ALS120 (SND_ALS100)

Say Y here to include support for soundcards based on Avance
Logic ALS100, ALS110, ALS120 and ALS200 chips.

To compile this driver as a module, choose M here: the module
will be called snd-als100.
polecenie wyświetli twoją wersje jądra
cat /proc/version

chmod -v 666 /dev/snd* /dev/mixer* /dev/dsp*

lspci -v
dmesg

[    4.480393]  01:01: card 'PnP Sound Chip'
[    4.480407] isapnp: 1 Plug & Play card detected total

Wejdź do katalogu, skopuj cały katalog np. z /usr/src/kernels/2.6.28 do /usr/src/kernels/2.6.28-modified

2) wejdź do katalogu /usr/src/kernels/2.6.28-modified i wpisz
make xconfig

4) Potem Menu File / Save

5) uruchom polecenie
make && make modules_install && make install

.........
timeout=30
.........
title Moje Xubuntu (2.6.26)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.26-modified ro root=UUID=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
initrd /initrd-2.6.26-modified.img
title Windows
.........
Potem restart komputera i z menu wybierasz Twojego Xubuntu

Cytuj
Module snd-als100
  -----------------
    Module for sound cards based on Avance Logic ALS100/ALS120 ISA chips.
    This module supports multiple cards, autoprobe and PnP.
    The power-management is supported.
Może więc powinno wystarczyć załadowanie modułu snd-als100:
sudo modprobe snd-als100
 dmesg | tail
cat /proc/asound/{cards,pcm}
Jeśli pójdzie, dopisz linijkę z nazwą modułu do pliku /etc/modules.

P.S.2: http://packages.ubuntu.com/jaunty/i386/linux-image-2.6.28-6-386/filelist - to wygląda jakby paczka linux-image-2.6.28-6-386 zawierała ten moduł zbudowany (/lib/modules/2.6.28-6-386/kernel/sound/isa/snd-als100.ko).

Cytat: "ra-v"
chmod -v 666 /dev/snd* /dev/mixer* /dev/dsp*
/etc/udev/compat-full.rules
/etc/udev/compat.rules
/etc/udev/devfs.rules
/etc/udev/udev.rules
/etc/udev/permisions.rules
Osobiście to ja bym dopisał odpowiednie linijki w permisions.rules.

u mnie utworzyłem plik "/etc/udev/rules.d/11-local.rules" (jako root) oraz wklepiłem do niego zawartość
KERNEL=="sr[0-9]", MODE+="0666"
KERNEL=="sg[0-9]", MODE="0660"
KERNEL=="sdb[0-9]", MODE+="0660"

KERNEL=="dsp*", MODE="0666"
KERNEL=="pcm*", MODE="0666"
KERNEL=="seq*", MODE="0666"
KERNEL=="control*", MODE="0666"
KERNEL=="audio*", MODE="0666"
KERNEL=="mixer*", MODE="0666"
KERNEL=="timer*", MODE="0666"
KERNEL=="midi*", MODE="0666"

Cytuj
/etc/udev/rules.d/10-regula1.rules
/lib/udev/rules.d/11-reguła3.rules
/etc/udev/rules.d/12-regula1.rules

P.S. Podobnie, pliki napędów należą go grupy cdrom i tak dalej...

więc tak : włączam moduł dźwięku:
 sudo modprobe snd_als100
./configure
...
Checking for OSS Audio ... yes
Checking for aRts ... no
Checking for EsounD ... no
Checking for Polyp ... no
Checking for JACK ... no
Checking for OpenAL ... no
Checking for ALSA audio ... no
Checking for Sun audio ... no
