Witam, zainstalowalem dzisiaj susa, przeszedlem przez proces konfiguracji, oczom ukazuje się pulpit. Łapię za myszkę, a ta nawet nie drgnie. Próbowalem już różnych sposobów, przekonfigurować xy, grzebalem w ustawieniach, no doslownie wszystko co mi do glowy przyszło. Myszka działa na Slacku bez problemu. Jakieś sugestie?

Hmmm pewnie trzeba ręcznie załadować moduł od myszki. Przełącz się na terminal i znajdź moduł który będzie miał w nazwie "ps" i go załaduj.

Też możliwe, ale nie byłbym taki pewny. Sam mam moduł evdev załadowany, ale do teraz nie wiem, dlaczego xorg nie raczy z niego korzystać, kiedy mu go wklepię (patrz ten wątek).

Przeczytaj najpierw to: http://forum.linux.pl/help.php#bbcode

a potem wrzuć w przewijalne okienka zawartości plików /var/log/Xorg.0.log oraz /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

A załadowane moduły pokazuje Ci polecenie lsmod.

Albo lepiej najpierw sprawdź czy jest załadowany moduł:

lsmod | grep psmouse

Jeśli nic Ci się nie pokarze to go załaduj np tak:

modprobe psmouse

a potem żeby był ładowany automatycznie przy starcie niezależnie od tego czy myszka jest podpięta czy nie to po prostu dodaj na końcu pliku /etc/modules linijkę z nazwą modułu czyli psmouse.

Jak to nie pomoże to trzeba sprawdzić konfigurację iXsa tzn. /etc/X11/xorg.conf. A tu masz przykład dla ps2:

po wpisaniu
lsmod
nie wyrzuciło zadnej listy zaladowanych modułow, przeszko do kolejnego znaku zachety, po wpisaniu
modprobe psmouse
wyrzuca, ze nie ma pliku modules.dep w lib/modules/wersja, a plik tam jest.

Czemu nie wrzucisz logu i konfiga, który zaproponowałem Ci wrzucić? Może stamtąd czegoś konkretniejszego się dowiemy, co xorg powiedział o myszy.

Nie chce mi się wierzyć, że masz pustą listę modułów, tzn. wszystkie sterowniki wkompilowane na stałe w jądro, szczególnie to z paczki Suse :) Wykonałeś lsmod z konta roota?

No właśnie. Spróbuj wykonać wszystkie polecenia jako root.

W suse lsmod idzie również bez roota. A tak z ciekawości u mnie na suse 10.2 po wpisaniu lsmod nie wypluło niczego, co by zawierało ciąg "ps", a tez mam myszkę na ps.

Spróbuj przeinstalować jajko z paczki.

A wcześniej pokaż wynik poleceń:

uname -a

ls /lib/modules

du -h /lib/modules | tail -2 (to może trochę potrwać)

Co do tych ostatnich 2 to sie obędzie bez latania w prosty sposób. Wystarczy podmontowac partycję i podać adres tych plików na podmontowanej partycji.
